1966 Topps Batman Gum Card Display Box - Second Series (Series A Red Bat):
Crisp and clean with intact lid perforations. The back hinge on this box is extremely stiff, so opening this box makes you reflect on its near case fresh characteristics. The colors on this box are just gorgeous! There appears to be no hint of fading or restoration. The bright yellow sticker announcing this second series of gum cards, is well attached and thankfully right side up – those collectors familiar with these boxes know that Topps sometimes got carless and applied these stickers upside-down; the colors on this sticker, like the box is bright and clean with no evidence of fading. The box lid and panels has the usual edge chafe in places along with some minor corner imperfections. There’s the occasional crease, but nothing too distracting. Due to this beautiful and striking presentation a grade of NM+ may seem too strict, but an irregular 1” x 1 ¼” moisture mark on the bottom middle left edge of the box, makes the grade the most applicable.
